City League Skills Evaluation

The skills evaluations will be held October 21st-24th.   Each player will engage in a series of fundamental exercises made up of dribbling, lay-ups, perimeter shooting, passing, and defensive shuffle. The coordinators of each division with the assistance of the coaches will design these exercises based on age and ability. Each player will be given a rating from each teams coach. The ratings will be calculated just prior to the league draft. All coaches should attend the skill session to rate the player’s abilities and to help in organizing the skill session drills.

Games

Game dates will be 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, and 12/9.  There will also be two tournaments.  One on 11/23 and 12/14,

Playing Time

Playing time is to be distributed evenly among all players who are present at any given game.  No player will be allowed to play extra time in order to affect the outcome of a game.

Coaches will ensure that every eligible player who participates in at least 1 of the 2 scheduled practices the week of the game gets playing time per the Playing Time Rules.  All coaches will be instructed to help ensure that this is met.
